Actress Jun Ji-hyun opened up about her thoughts on 'future Jun Ji-hyun.'
On the 21st, an interview video titled 'Jun Ji-hyun defines her own value' was released on the YouTube channel of fashion magazine GQ Korea.
In an interview conducted on the set of a photo shoot, Jun Ji-hyun mentioned the upcoming Disney+ series 'Polaris.' Regarding her feelings ahead of the release, Jun Ji-hyun revealed, 'I am very excited and also a bit nervous. In fact, there are times when I feel as if nothing is wrong to the point of being a bit scary.' She also stated, 'I feel like I might be forcing myself to ignore it, as I am so tense and anxious.'
At the same time, Jun Ji-hyun commented on 'Polaris,' saying, 'First of all, while shooting 'Polaris,' the best experience was that not every work allows an actor to feel this way. When you are very focused and immersed in the character, sometimes you feel a consolidation with the writer or the director present on set. But while playing the role of Moon-joo in 'Polaris,' I felt very connected to the writer.'
'I felt a bit like I was the writer Jeong Seo-kyung. However, since I haven't often felt this way, I think it was a long time since I felt this kind of feeling. I realized that I was really focusing and getting deeply immersed in the character,' she added, expressing her affection for the work.
Also, Jun Ji-hyun remarked, 'I often wonder, 'What will actress Jun Ji-hyun look like when she gets older?'' And, she continued, 'In my family life too, I think about how our children will grow up and what kind of jobs they will have. I have endless thoughts about those things, but in the end, I think more about, 'Let's do well at what we can do today.'"
Jun Ji-hyun expressed, 'This year I am starting 'Polaris' and also filming for a movie, so there are still things to show, and I hope that the good reactions to these will help the things I have done this year to be remembered well.'
The Disney+ series 'Polaris,' featuring Jun Ji-hyun and Gang Dong-won (script by Jeong Seo-kyung, directed by Kim Hee-won and Heo Myung-haeng), is set to be released on September 10.
