Mnet 'L1VE WIRE' star Sunwoo Jung-a revealed, "There is a male singer who begged on his knees to take me as a disciple," sparking curiosity.
The 10th episode of Mnet 'L1VE WIRE', airing on Friday, August 22, will feature Sunwoo Jung-a and Dragon Pony (Ahn Tae-kyu, Pyeon Seong-hyeon, Kwon Se-hyuk, Go Gang-hun), as they share a special stage and honest music stories.
Sunwoo Jung-a will dominate the stage with her hit song "Run Away" and the title track "Saline," released in July, during her first appearance. Right after the performance, Jung Jae-hyung said, "The lyrics of 'Saline' resonate with me, especially the lines, 'Your love saves me again. Picking up the day I had thrown away and giving it back to me.' How did you come to write those lyrics?" Sunwoo Jung-a then reveals the story behind the creation of her new album.
She explains, "Before making the new album, I was very exhausted, but my husband, who quietly watched by my side, reminded me, 'This is your life, and your day is precious.' That encouragement inspired me to write the song," adding to the emotion.
She also surprises everyone by sharing a shocking episode from her past indie activities. Sunwoo Jung-a recalls, "After the performance, while chatting with people, a man knelt down on the asphalt and asked, 'Please take me as a disciple.' At the time, I had long hair and was wearing a military coat, so honestly, I was a bit scared," and adds, "I had forgotten about him after he left his contact information, but later I was shocked when a 'famous singer' appeared on a show and revealed it was about him."
Meanwhile, Dragon Pony, who nominated Sunwoo Jung-a on this day, presents a tribute stage where they arranged Sunwoo Jung-a's song "Turtle" in their own style, filled with respect and admiration for her. The stage garnered attention, leading to Sunwoo Jung-a's extraordinary compliment, "This is great! I should have given you this song instead."
'L1VE WIRE' episode 10, featuring Dragon Pony's vibrant stage and Sunwoo Jung-a's candid music story, will be broadcast simultaneously on Mnet and tvN on August 22 (Friday) at 7 p.m.
