According to an official announcement made by Billboard on the 19th (local time), TWICE's 'Strategy' ranked 62nd on the main chart 'Hot 100' for the week of August 23, while 'TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG)' ranked 60th. The two songs have showcased their popularity by charting for four consecutive weeks from the chart dated the 2nd, and on the 17th, they ranked 38th and 30th respectively on Spotify's U.S. chart, the largest global music platform.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, TWICE is making waves globally with its full activities, including the release of its 4th studio album 'THIS IS FOR' and a new world tour of the same name. Recently, TWICE made its first appearance at a major global festival, headlining the Lollapalooza Chicago event, showcasing an explosive presence. Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung are contributing to the success of the original soundtrack album for the Netflix animation 'KPop Demon Hunters.'
On the 20th at midnight, TWICE pre-released the song 'Like 1' from its 6th Japanese studio album 'ENEMY' to build excitement. The new song, co-written by Jihyo and composed by the renowned local rock band One O'Clock, strikes a chord with listeners through lyrics about limited time and eternal time over a refreshing band sound. The animation video released alongside the song's audio captures the story of parting with an imaginary friend that has been with them since childhood, expressing the song's message sensibly. The complete album 'ENEMY', featuring the pre-release track 'Like 1', is set to officially release on August 27.
Building on this momentum, Chaeyoung will debut as TWICE's fourth solo artist with her first solo studio album 'LIL FANTASY vol.1' on September 12 at 1 p.m., following Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu. There are high expectations for her unique musical world and concept.
