The director lineup for Mnet's global band-making survival program, STEAL HEART CLUB, has been unveiled.
Ahead of its first broadcast in October, Mnet's STEAL HEART CLUB confirmed Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jang-won, Sunwoo Jung-a, and Ha Sung-woon as its directors, kicking off a significant musical journey.
Mnet's STEAL HEART CLUB is a global band-making project where participants gathered from band positions such as drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, and vocals showcase their music, emotions, and passionate youth as they embark on a survival competition to become the 'ultimate headliner band.' It depicts the birth of the next-generation 'iconic band' that embodies both star quality and sincerity towards music.
The four directors, each with distinct musical colors and stage experiences, will work alongside the youth band participants, guiding their growth and the completion of the band.
First, Jung Yong-hwa, the front person of the band CNBLUE and an artist with a global fandom, is expected to impart his diverse stage experience and performance skills. Lee Jang-won, a member of the band Peppertones and responsible for bass, enhances teamwork and musical quality with his solid musicianship and storytelling abilities.
Sunwoo Jung-a, an exceptional singer-songwriter who transcends genre boundaries, is expected to draw out the creative expressions of the participants based on her experimental and sensory musical world. Lastly, Ha Sung-woon, leveraging his experience in survival programs, will be responsible for vocal directing as well as the mental care of the participants amidst fierce competition.
The production team stated, 'STEAL HEART CLUB is not just a competition but a journey of discovering each other's colors through music and completing as one team,' adding that 'the four directors, Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jang-won, Sunwoo Jung-a, and Ha Sung-woon, will maximize the participants' potential and become 'reliable mentors' guiding and designing that journey together.'
Meanwhile, Mnet's STEAL HEART CLUB is set to premiere in October and is anticipated to herald the birth of a new band survival program targeting global fandom.
