Actress Ko Hyun-jung confessed that she once suggested her parents get divorced, revealing an honest side.
In the episode of the web entertainment program "Salon Drip 2" released on the 19th, the guest Ko Hyun-jung appeared at the end of the video.
That day, Ko Hyun-jung laughed, saying about the staff gift stories that pour in for each drama, "It's so much fun to prepare that. I'm wondering how many staff there are, whether it's over a hundred, should I go for a parka or is there something a little better?"
In response, Jang Doyoun jokingly imitated the staff, saying, "Oh, it's so cold... I need a parka," to which Ko Hyun-jung replied, "I tell them, 'Nothing will come out of that. I'm going to do what I want.'"
Additionally, Ko Hyun-jung said her subscriber count has fallen into hell after starting her YouTube and Instagram, saying, "How can I increase my Instagram followers? It's so frustrating. '377,000' is my score. To protect these people..." bringing laughter.
Ko Hyun-jung also recalled that she once suggested her parents get divorced during their fights, saying, "I boldly confess here that when I think my two parents are fighting, I would say, 'Get a divorce.' Why live fighting?"
She continued, "My mom, being a mom, would say to me, 'Your dad is...' and I would respond, 'Isn't it cruel for you to speak ill of your husband in front of me?'" raising expectations for next week's broadcast.
Earlier, Ko Hyun-jung debuted in the entertainment industry after winning a beauty pageant in 1989. She later married Chung Yong-jin, Chairman of Shinsegae, in 1995, and they had one son and one daughter, but divorced in 2003. Ko Hyun-jung, who hinted at retiring from the entertainment industry immediately after getting married, announced her return in 2005 with the drama "Spring Day," two years after her divorce.
Last November, Ko Hyun-jung also appeared on tvN's "You Quiz" and honestly spoke about her children.
At that time, Ko Hyun-jung remarked, "Many people wonder whether I see my kids or not. The first thing I can say is that as a mom, I should just be comfortable, but comfort is out of the question, and since I don't live with them, there are awkward feelings. It's really sad that I'm not comfortable with my kids. It's something that can't be filled anymore because it has disappeared."
Meanwhile, the web entertainment program "Salon Drip," featuring Ko Hyun-jung, will be released on the 26th at 6 p.m.
