HYBE LABELS' ADOR appointed Lee Do-gyeong as the new CEO.
ADOR of the HYBE Music Group announced on the 20th that it has appointed Lee Do-gyeong (VP) as the new CEO.
ADOR explained that the appointment of this new CEO is to fully operationalize its role as a record label executing planning and management of artists' activities such as albums and performances.
Earlier, ADOR appointed CEO Kim Joo-young, an expert in human resources management, in August of last year to achieve organizational and managerial normalization through the separation of production and management and appropriate human resource placement. The ADOR board of directors judged that this initial goal had been achieved and decided to appoint this new CEO, who is well-versed in label management practices, in order to foster the growth of affiliated artists and labels and to enter an operational system capable of quickly supporting artist activities and promoting business.
The new CEO joined HYBE (formerly Big Hit Entertainment) in 2019 and has been involved in establishing HYBE's corporate vision and business strategy, conducting various new business initiatives. In particular, he served as the vice president (VP) of the IPX Business Unit, which promotes business based on HYBE Music Group artists' intellectual properties, playing a pivotal role in enhancing solution business using artist IP. He oversaw merchandise, pop-up stores, and light stick operations for all artists of the HYBE Music Group, while planning and promoting a large-scale collaboration project 'THE CITY' that applies artist IP across cities where performances are held to provide fans with various entertainment options.
With the appointment of the new CEO, ADOR has established an immediate support posture and an advanced personnel structure for artist activities. ADOR is home to the girl group NewJeans and is preparing to produce new artists by holding the '2025 ADOR BOYS GLOBAL AUDITION' in June, recruiting members for the next-generation boy group.
