Sung Hyun-joo is receiving congratulations as she shares the news of her pregnancy after five years.
On the 20th, Sung Hyun-joo revealed her feelings about her pregnancy along with a photo showing her baby bump on Instagram. She said, "Each week, I anxiously hid my growing belly and now I've become a nine-month pregnant woman. As I've experienced the whirlwind of pregnancy symptoms without any deviation, I feel more overwhelmed than grateful, wondering if this pregnancy is really this hard."
She added, "Now, with just one month left, I plan to enjoy the overflowing congratulations from wonderful people and try to walk in a wobbly manner. I guess I will soon be terribly in love with another little person, which means I'll be a mother of two. So, I'm also doing my pregnancy reveal, you know."
In the released photo, Seo Joo-kyung is wearing black attire and embracing her baby bump with a happy smile. The accompanying video shows Sung Hyun-joo's fellow comedians, Kim Min-kyung, Oh Na-mi, and Park Sun-young, crying and expressing their joy during her pregnancy reveal, moving many.
Meanwhile, Sung Hyun-joo posted a photo of her late son, Lee Seo-hoo, on December 25 last year, expressing her deep longing for him.
Sung Hyun-joo wrote, "On the day Seo-hoo left my side, I had hidden a music box that sparkled brilliantly around the edges deep within. But yesterday, I bravely took it out. The music box I faced after four years still sparkled dazzlingly without any issues." She continued, "December is a very burdensome month for me, but perhaps it's also a month when I can miss Seo-hoo more comfortably. I can't express how much I want to see him, how much I want to touch him, and how much I want to hold him." Sung Hyun-joo wrote, "Seo-hoo, I hope you are safe and comfortable in a world that I don't know. I love you. Merry Christmas, my little one."
Her post prompted many comments from fellow comedians. Kim Min-kyung wrote, "I love you, our Hyun-joo~ Our little Seo-hoo," and Shin Bong-sun expressed her sorrow, saying, "Seo-hoo, come into my dreams and play with me. Make sure to hug me when we finally meet with smiles later on."
Sung Hyun-joo's son, the late Lee Seo-hoo, passed away at the age of 5 on Christmas in 2020 after a battle with illness. Sung Hyun-joo published an essay titled 'Your Health' that compiles records of the 1,000 days she spent with her son, drawing attention for donating all the royalties to a children's hospital.
