Jeon Seong-ae recalled a time when her family faced a crisis at home.
On the 18th, the KBS 2TV program 'Let's Live Together with Park Won-sook' featured a visit to Daeryong Market in Gyodongdo, capturing a nostalgic journey.
Jeon Seong-ae recalled, "I was almost homeless in my 50s. At that time, I invested in real estate in Yangpyeong, but the landowner sold it to several people. He ended up in prison. The money I invested disappeared into thin air. I ended up on the street after using both my money and the bank's money. My husband also got a truck license. He needed 3 million won to get into used cars, but we didn't have that amount."
Jeon Seong-ae shared, "At that time, my husband received an audition offer. It seemed a bit odd. I realized he had been cast as my husband. The role had to be bald as a prerequisite." She noted that this led to a turnaround in her life through the movie 'The Crucible.'
Jeon Seong-ae added, "After getting a big hit with 'The Crucible,' I started doing five movies a year. For a few years, I was paying off debts. Now, I am grateful to live without any debt."
Mija said, "When things were tough, my dad gathered the family and said, 'Even if I were to be reborn, I would choose this hardship again.' I cried," adding that her family became even closer. However, Jeon Seong-ae felt differently. She explained, "I was annoyed. You are a child, not a wife. Trying to do well and making mistakes, I thought divorce shouldn't happen. We vowed not to blame each other."
