The reality of Japan's national actor has been revealed, shocking fans. Masaharu Fukuyama, well-known in the country, has been identified as one of the key figures involved in a sexual prostitution meeting targeting female announcers.
On the 18th, the Japanese media Woman Seven reported that Masaharu Fukuyama had continuously attended meetings of female announcers involved in the sexual prostitution scandal exposed by the sexual assault case of SMAP member Masahiro Nakai, as stated in an internal report.
According to the report, Masaharu Fukuyama participated in meetings hosted by Ryo Ohta, a former executive, once or twice a year starting in 2005. Several female announcers attended these meetings each time, with at least 19 recorded attendees to date.
In particular, Ryo Ohta, who hosted the meeting, was noted to have communicated through mobile messenger with 'dominant male program participants,' stating: 'I hope for a meeting with female announcers,' and 'I want to meet new announcers.' This 'dominant male program participant' has been revealed to be Masaharu Fukuyama, known as Japan's national actor, causing shock.
Furthermore, it has been reported that female announcers at the meeting testified that they had 'unpleasant experiences.' It was revealed that Masaharu Fukuyama made remarks containing vulgar sexual content, and that Ryo Ohta also excited sexual discussions.
Masaharu Fukuyama acknowledged that he asked Ryo Ohta for the presence of female announcers, but maintained that he made 'absolutely no sexual remarks.'
He responded to an interview with Woman Seven, reportedly discussing his position for over 70 minutes. Masaharu Fukuyama stated, 'I have been contemplating and thinking since reading the report. The information contained in the report is highly confidential, so I cannot personally make any statements. It is absolutely unacceptable to identify those who have had unpleasant experiences. So, I have been thinking and wondering how I can apologize.' He explained the reason for his direct interview.
Following the report, Masaharu Fukuyama stated on his official website that he cooperated with the investigation by the third-party committee established by Fuji TV, meaning that he 'must answer sincerely.' However, after careful consultations with his agency, he refrained from making any statements to avoid potential speculation, identification, defamation, and slander against involved parties. He agreed to the interview to avoid misunderstandings and expressed deep regret for causing anxiety and worry to his fans.
The agency also stated, 'It is true that he attended the social gathering hosted by Ryo Ohta, but he attended with the understanding that he was invited to a business-related dinner, and there were no issues as mentioned in the ongoing Fuji TV problem.' They denied any sexual remarks.
However, regarding reports from Woman Seven that he refused the third-party committee's request for a hearing because he was busy, he clarified, 'It was difficult to attend in person due to location shooting, so a written response was provided, but that does not mean he refused at all.'
The Fuji TV female announcer sexual prostitution scandal surfaced in December of last year when the sexual assault scandal involving SMAP member Masahiro Nakai broke.
