Television personality Park Yeon-su was moved by the achievements of her daughter, golf player Song Ji-a.
Park Yeon-su posted a message on her Instagram account on the 19th saying, "You are doing so well. Let's not rush ~ #SongJi-aPro #ParisGates." Song Ji-a has recently garnered attention for obtaining full membership status in the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
Full membership in the LPGA can be obtained after passing the qualifying round or meeting special membership qualifications and completing certain training and assessments. Once full membership is obtained, participants can compete in official tournaments such as the LPGA Tour and Dream Tour, enabling them to engage in professional activities.
Earlier, Park Yeon-su shared on social media, "Ji-a went to a planning agency until she was in the 5th to 6th grade of elementary school, and when she was in the 1st year of middle school, she said she wanted to be a golf player and joined an academy." She added, "It feels like just yesterday that Ji-a registered as a player and had her first match at Solago Country Club, and now, after six years, she has become a full member at the same place; I can't believe it."
She further added, "Although she has never stood out academically, I want to leave behind the times of tears and worries. I want to show that even if you start late, you can do well if you prepare well," expressing her heartfelt support for her daughter.
Song Ji-a was born to Song Jong-guk and Park Yeon-su and gained public recognition by appearing in the MBC variety show "Dad! Where Are You Going?" After her parents' divorce in 2015, she lived with Park Yeon-su and her younger brother, Song Ji-wook. At one point, she prepared for a girl group debut but shifted her direction to golf, revealing her growth as a promising player through "My Kid's Private Life."
