Amid raising her children alone after divorce, actress Choi Jeong-yoon spoke about visitation rights with her ex-husband.
In the 8th special episode for the 10th anniversary of tvN STORY's 'Accidentally Adult' aired on the 19th, veteran divorce judge Jeong Hyun-sook, who has 21 years of experience, grants and shared her insights.
On that day, Judge Jeong Hyun-sook explained visitation rights while discussing divorce trials. She said, "Visitation rights are the rights of the non-custodial parent to regularly see the children after a divorce. This is not just a parent's right but also a child's right."
Judge Jeong said, "Even if the parents are the primary custodians, they should not prevent the non-custodial parent from meeting the children at will," and then asked Choi Jeong-yoon, who was seated in the audience, "I understand you are raising your children after the divorce. Does the child often meet with their father?"
In response, Choi Jeong-yoon explained, "Legally, it's set for twice a month, but we are flexible depending on the child's condition and schedule," and Judge Jeong Hyun-sook praised her, saying, "You are doing very well."
Meanwhile, Choi Jeong-yoon married Yoon Tae-jun, the eldest son of the vice chairman of E-Land Group, in 2011, but divorced in 2022. She is raising her daughter, born in 2016, on her own.
