On the 18th, through an exclusive report by OSEN, it was revealed that Kim Jong-kook would go on a honeymoon not immediately after the wedding but at a later time. After the ceremony, he plans to prioritize his pre-scheduled broadcasting commitments before going on the honeymoon.
Kim Jong-kook announced his marriage by sharing a handwritten letter on his personal fan cafe on that morning. He stated, "I'm getting married," and added, "This year marks my 30th anniversary since debuting, and instead of creating an album, I made my other half."
Additionally, he revealed his marriage during the SBS entertainment program "Running Man" that day. Kim Jong-kook has been a member of the original cast of "Running Man" since its first broadcast on July 11, 2010, and he announced his marriage directly, citing the solid trust he has in the production team and fellow cast members after 15 years of loyalty.
When asked why he chose to announce his marriage through "Running Man," a representative from Kim Jong-kook's side explained to OSEN, "It seems that there was trust that he could reveal (the marriage) on 'Running Man.'" However, they added, "Please check the broadcast for detailed information," maintaining a cautious approach.
Moreover, information about Kim Jong-kook's wedding and his fiancée has been treated with extreme confidentiality. It is reported that the ceremony will be a private event attended only by family and close friends.
A representative from Kim Jong-kook's side also noted, "As of now, we do not have anything to share regarding Mr. Kim Jong-kook's marriage or the future wife, aside from the post he personally shared in the fan cafe. However, regarding the timing of the honeymoon, he explained, "At the moment, it's not a situation in which we can go. There are scheduled commitments and fixed appearances on broadcasts, so we have no choice but to prioritize already established schedules."
