The episode 329 of KBS Joy's 'Ask Anything' aired on Aug. 18 as a proposal special titled 'Finding My Match,' featuring a participant who shared that they are struggling to find time to meet someone due to their busy lifestyle.
The participant, who works as a strategy expert and corporate analyst in the company's strategy team, said, 'I work during the day and dance at night,' 'My dream is to be a choreographer,' and noted, 'My parents keep asking if I have a boyfriend in Korea.'
When Seo Jang-hoon asked, 'Have you lived abroad?', the participant replied, 'I am from Singapore.'
When asked how long it has been since coming to Korea, the participant responded, 'I came back in October last year. I first came to Korea to live from 2017 to 2018.'
The participant, who is struggling to find time to meet someone, explained that they studied Korean independently to improve their competitiveness 10 years ago.
In response to Seo Jang-hoon's question, 'Haven't you dated anyone since coming to Korea?', the participant replied, 'I had a few, but there were a lot of bad memories,' revealing a conflict story involving a Singaporean man they met at the age of 20.
The participant said that while they don't have a clear standard regarding the nationality of the person they want to meet, they prefer Koreans, mentioning, 'I like a delicate man and someone who takes good care of me. A 5-year age difference is okay, and maturity doesn't matter,' adding, 'My ideal type is Park Bo-gum, someone pretty.'
'I don't think too much about economic power. In fact, since my job has a career,' the participant said regarding the financial inquiries from the others, adding, 'I can find a house in Singapore,' and noted, 'My salary was in the hundreds of millions in Singapore, but it has decreased significantly since coming to Korea.'
When Seo Jang-hoon asked if it was okay if the partner was unemployed, the participant replied, 'I would like someone who has a clear dream, even if they don't have competitiveness right now, and is working hard towards it.'
Seo Jang-hoon advised, 'You might need to lower your expectations a bit,' adding, 'Since you have a very good career now, I think it would be good to work hard at balancing both (dance) together.' Lee Sugeun encouraged by saying, 'Only good things will come your way.'
