The daily drama 'Queen's House' has once again set a new viewer rating record.
In the 78th episode of the KBS2 daily drama 'Queen's House' (written by Kim Min-joo, directed by Hong Eun-mi and Hong Seok-goo, produced by Flying Entertainment and Ascendio), which aired on the 18th, Kang Jae-in (Ham Eun-jung) and Kim Do-yoon (Seo Jun-young) finally learned that the true culprit behind the hit-and-run incident involving Kim Do-hee (Miram) was Hwang Gi-chan (Park Yun-jae) and Kang Se-ri (Lee Ga-ryeong).
According to the viewership rating agency Nielsen Korea, the broadcast achieved a viewer rating of 11.1%, ranking first among all programs aired at the same time. In particular, the scene where Jung Yoon-hee (Kim Ae-ran) earnestly wishes for the truth hidden behind her daughter's unjust death to be revealed soared to a peak rating of 12% per minute, capturing attention.
Earlier, the news of Jae-in's death from a traffic accident shocked viewers. However, this was revealed to be a meticulous plan by Do-yoon to protect Jae-in, providing a twist. After regaining consciousness, Jae-in stayed at Gi-chan's house suffering from amnesia, which caused the relationship between Gi-chan and Se-ri to begin to shake. However, this was all part of Jae-in's elaborate revenge scheme.
Jae-in launched a full-scale counterattack, reversing the past experiences she endured at the hands of Gi-chan, Se-ri, and a homeless person (Lee Bo-hee). Gi-chan was completely manipulated by Jae-in, and he had no idea that all of her actions were an act. Subsequently, the designer that the YL Group had been desperately seeking was revealed to be Jae-in, and realizing that he had been deceived was exhilarating for Gi-chan.
Meanwhile, 'Queen's House' is enhancing the immersion of the drama not only with Jae-in's revenge narrative but also with various stories. From the middle-aged romance between Jung Oh-sung (Kim Hyun-kyun) and Kang Mi-ran (Kang Kyung-heon) to the fresh relationship between Do Yoo-kyung (Cha Min-ji) and Kang Seung-woo (Kim Hyun-wook), diverse romances are adding excitement. Additionally, episodes featuring Choi Jae-young (Lee Sang-sook), who suffers from dementia, and Hwang Gi-man (Kang Sung-min), who has the intelligence of a child due to an unexpected accident, are also heightening the tension.
In response, viewers of 'Queen's House' expressed their enthusiastic reactions, stating, "There are so many diverse attractions like romance and revenge, so I like it," "I like the fast-paced developments," "It's a refreshing counterattack from Kang Jae-in," "Wow, I finally found out who the hit-and-run culprit is," and "I hope Jae-in and Do-yoon get together soon."
Meanwhile, the 79th episode of the KBS2 daily drama 'Queen's House,' scheduled to air on the 19th, will be canceled due to a professional baseball broadcast and will instead air at 7:50 p.m. on the 20th.
