JYP Entertainment boy group KickFlip made a mark as 'next-generation stage artisans' at SUMMER SONIC 2025.
KickFlip performed at SUMMER SONIC 2025 held at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo on the 16th and at Osaka Expo '70 Memorial Park stage on the 17th. On the 2nd (local time), they participated in the global music festival Lollapalooza Chicago held at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, further establishing their strong presence.
Gyehoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juhwang, Minjae, Keiju, and Donghyun showcased a variety of performances, including their debut song 'Mama Said (What Are You Going to Be?)', 'Yeah, Okay', 'Complicated!!', 'FREEZE', and 'Someday the Sun Will Explode'. Their dazzling choreography, solid live singing, and free-spirited stage manner allowed them to closely communicate with the audience, illuminating the potential of a performance-oriented boy group.
Especially for SUMMER SONIC 2025, they prepared a cover performance of Japanese singer-songwriter Bounty's 'Monster's Flower Song', creating a special moment. The members shouted, "We practiced hard so that the audience could enjoy KickFlip's stage to the fullest. It was really exciting and fun to be able to play together today. Let's meet again next time," gathering enthusiastic cheers.
They will continue their 'K-pop super rookie' activities this summer, having made their mark on the lineups of several major overseas music festivals. They are set to make appearances at the 2025 TMELive International Music Awards on the 23rd and 'SUMMER SONIC Bangkok 2025' on the 24th, aiming to ignite worldwide fan enthusiasm.
