BTOB group member Seo Eungkwang participates in World Vision's "Self-sufficient Village Campaign."
The international relief and development NGO World Vision (Chairman Cho Myung-hwan) released a video of Seo Eungkwang participating in the "Self-sufficient Village Campaign" through its official YouTube channel on the 19th.
The "Self-sufficient Village Campaign" is World Vision's representative brand campaign that offers integrated support in areas such as water sanitation, health and nutrition, education, and livelihood self-reliance until a village can sustain itself without external assistance.
The campaign, conducted under the slogan "From your STOP Ring," features the symbol "STOP Ring," a ring made of silver925 material that signifies "completion-type sponsorship" where sponsorship ends when the village becomes self-sufficient. This special merchandise is designed to remind people of the meaning of giving in their daily lives and has received a particularly warm response from the 2030 generation.
Seo Eungkwang participates in this campaign through talent donation, contributing to conveying the values of self-sufficiency and the meaning of sharing. In the released campaign video, Seo Eungkwang said, "Why STOP? Because only sponsorship can stop. Until the day when the village can live on its own even after sponsorship ends, I will support it along with the STOP Ring."
To commemorate the collaboration with Seo Eungkwang, World Vision will provide a special 'STOP Ring Light Package' to the first 2,000 people participating in regular sponsorship starting on the 19th. The package includes the STOP Ring, a photo card of Seo Eungkwang, and a polishing cloth for cleaning the silver ring.
Participation in the "Self-sufficient Village Campaign" with Seo Eungkwang can be applied for through World Vision's official website. The funds raised will be primarily used for local development projects for the self-sufficiency of the Mullenje village in Zambia and will subsequently be supported in order to other villages in similar crises. World Vision is working to create self-sufficient villages where children can grow up safely and healthily in essential areas such as water, health, education, and livelihood in cooperation with local residents.
Seo Eungkwang expressed, "I have wanted to participate in a sharing campaign for a long time, and I am grateful to be able to do so through World Vision's 'Self-sufficient Village Campaign.' I pray that we can all share happiness in the midst of much interest, and until that day when sponsorship is no longer needed, I will support and be with you all."
Cho Myung-hwan, Chairman of World Vision, noted, "The self-sufficiency of a village means creating an environment where children can be safely protected and freely nurture their dreams," and added, "Through this campaign, I hope many people will participate in sharing and resonate with the sustainable value of self-sufficiency. I would like to sincerely thank Seo Eungkwang for joining the campaign with a warm heart."
