Comedian Lee Kyung-sil has recently revealed her feelings about choosing to remarry after a divorce.
On the 18th, the end of Channel A's 'Best Friends Documentary - 4-Person Table' aired a teaser for next week's episode. The teaser featured comedian Lee Kyung-sil, culinary researcher Lee Bo-eun, and comedian Lee Soo-ji who grants their conversation.
On that day, Lee Kyung-sil recalled, "There was an incident when I got divorced for the first time." Then she showed a tearful expression as she said to Lee Bo-eun, "This friend filled the food completely."
Hearing this, Park Kyung-rim noted, "With her heart, food..." and measured Lee Bo-eun's warm consideration for Lee Kyung-sil, who made the food herself.
In particular, Lee Kyung-sil added, "Honestly, I failed at marriage once and got married again. When I think about it now, I thought that was my best shot at living well." She further added, "But thinking about it now, that person..." heightening curiosity about the stormy emotions of her life's experiences.
Meanwhile, Lee Kyung-sil married her first husband Son Kwang-ki in 1992 and had a daughter, Son Soo-ah, and a son, Son Bo-seung, but they divorced in 2003. At that time, Lee Kyung-sil suffered the pain of being assaulted by Son Kwang-ki, who was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, with a 3-year suspended sentence and 400 hours of community service for assault.
Afterwards, Lee Kyung-sil remarried her current husband Choi Myung-ho in 2007, but she revealed that she didn't register their marriage due to the trauma from her first divorce. However, in 2015, Choi Myung-ho faced another controversy when he was sentenced to 10 months in prison for sexual harassment. During this process, Lee Kyung-sil was sued for defamation for blaming the victim and received a guilty verdict with a fine of 5 million won, leading her to cease her activities.
