Kakao Entertainment (CEO Kwon Ki-soo, Jang Yoon-joong) announced the opening of the global fan community for the Disney+ original series 'Polaris' on the fan platform Berriz on the 18th.
The Disney+ original series 'Polaris' is a spy melodrama portraying the story of Moon Joo (Jun Ji-hyun), who has built an international reputation as a UN ambassador, chasing the mastermind behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate, and facing a monumental truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula alongside a nationality-less special agent Sanho (Gang Dong-won) who must protect him. The intense chemistry between Jun Ji-hyun and Gang Dong-won, along with a star-studded lineup of powerful actors like Lee Ji-eun, Park Hae-joon, Yoo Jae-myung, and Oh Jung-se, is raising expectations among fans worldwide. The first three episodes will be released on Sept. 10, and from Sept. 17, two episodes will be available each week, totaling nine episodes.
Ahead of the series launch, the Berriz 'Polaris' global fan community, which has opened, offers fans special enjoyment through various additional content, including behind-the-scenes videos, as well as AI personas that allow them to communicate directly with characters from the work. It is expected to become a playground and communication space where fans around the world can enjoy various content together and increase their enjoyment. This will add a different kind of 'experiential joy' to the emotions felt while watching the work, enriching the content experience.
In particular, through AI personas of characters from the work, it will provide fans with an even more special experience and enhance the immersion in the content world. 'Moon Joo,' who quietly yet firmly represents Korea's stance peacefully on the global stage, and the mysterious 'Sanho,' who is known as the ace of a global mercenary company but whose true identity is unknown to anyone, will have their speech patterns, personalities, and tastes faithfully represented. Fans will be able to engage in Q&A with AI personas in the Berriz fan community, feeling as if they are conversing with real characters from the work.
Kakao Entertainment stated that "through Berriz, fans around the world will be able to enjoy 'Polaris' in a more three-dimensional way," adding that "Berriz, as a global K-culture fan platform, plans to continue various attempts to allow fans who love various genres of K-content to come together to communicate and empathize, further expanding the joy of content."
