CORTIS, a new artist from Big Hit Music, is coming closer to global fans with an English song.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyun, Gunho) announced through the global super fan platform Weverse that 'What You Want (feat. Teezo Touchdown)' would be released at 10 a.m. on the 19th. This will be available as a track on the 22nd at 1 p.m. as the English version of the title track 'What You Want' from their debut album.
American singer-songwriter Teezo Touchdown is catching attention for his feature. His collaboration with the likes of Tyler, the Creator, Drake, and Travis Scott in the hip-hop scene has drawn interest in the partnership with CORTIS, a 'Young Creator Crew' that co-creates with different thoughts and new perspectives.
The collaboration's origin is special. They connected at a songwriting camp held in Los Angeles last year. At the time, CORTIS had no prior information available, but Teezo Touchdown decided to collaborate after seeing the five members creating music together. The song created in a free-spirited atmosphere is 'What You Want'. The original demo, recorded in English, has been revived for this release. It is expected that Teezo Touchdown's personality and energy will add freshness to the original song's declaration to not hesitate and grab what they want.
CORTIS officially debuted on the 18th by releasing the track 'What You Want'. The conceptual performance film for this song surpassed 1 million views on YouTube around 10:07 a.m. on the 19th, marking a strong start by entering the popular rising music video charts on Korean YouTube, as well as the music video charts on Japan's Line Music and QQ Music on the day of its release (as of August 18).
The five members of CORTIS will meet fans starting with the broadcast of Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 21st. They are expected to captivate viewers with a fresh performance over 11 treadmills that are in constant motion.
