Producer and singer-songwriter Vince, who made a comeback with 'CHA CHA CHA,' announced that he has received permission regarding copyright from the original creators and singer Seol Woon Do.
On the 14th, a round interview commemorating producer and singer-songwriter Vince's comeback was held at a café in Yongsan, Seoul.
Vince, who has made a name for himself as a global producer, from working with top domestic artists like BIGBANG and BLACKPINK to being the main producer of the ALLDAY PROJECT and the soundtrack for the Netflix movie 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' will release his new digital single 'CHA CHA CHA' on the 18th at 6 p.m. and make a comeback as a singer.
'CHA CHA CHA' is a hip-hop R&B track that adds a lively Latin cha-cha rhythm over a smooth melody, and it is expected to showcase an amazing chemistry with the featuring support of G-Dragon.
Vince noted that 'CHA CHA CHA' was directly inspired by Seol Woon Do's 'Let's All Go Cha Cha Cha.' In fact, the lyrics "Let's all go cha cha cha" appear multiple times in 'CHA CHA CHA.' Vince explained, "The song was made a long time ago. It's been more than five years. The first sketch was not mine; it was held by another producer at the company. He suggested 'It would suit you well' along with the keywords and guide of 'Let's all go cha cha cha.' I thought it was fun, so I completed it based on that."
When asked if there are any copyright issues, he replied, "I actually got permission. I received permission from the original song's composer and lyricist through the company."
He specifically explained, "Before producing the music video as an animation, I considered filming it as a live-action video, and at that time, I contacted Seol Woon Do to suggest a cameo appearance, and I received his consent. It's a pity that we couldn't do that, but we had received all the permissions." (To be continued in Interview②.)
