Jung Il-woo, who had insisted on remaining single, has decided to marry.
In the 4th episode of KBS 2TV's weekend drama 'Our Golden Days' (directed by Kim Hyung-seok, scripted by So Hyun-kyung), aired on the 17th, the conflict between Lee Ji-hyuk (played by Jung Il-woo) and his father Lee Sang-cheol (played by Cheon Ho-jin), along with Ji-hyuk's surprise marriage announcement, was depicted.
In yesterday's broadcast, Ji-hyuk and Sang-cheol shared an awkward drinking session. Sang-cheol revealed the circumstances that led to his re-employment falling through, asking Ji-hyuk to keep it a secret, while Ji-hyuk attempted to persuade him but was reminded of the team leader's words he heard when he left: "We are like fleas, even if we try to leap." He felt the bitter reality.
However, Lee Soo-bin (played by Shin Soo-hyun) informed Lee Ji-wan (played by Son Sang-yeon), who was cut from the gym, about everything, and eventually the entire family learned of Sang-cheol's failed re-employment. To make matters worse, when Ji-hyuk even contributed to household expenses, the conflict between the father and son deepened. Sang-cheol, whose pride was hurt, pressed Ji-hyuk, but Ji-hyuk also stood his ground, resulting in a tense standoff.
Meanwhile, Eun-oh, hurt by Ji-hyuk's cold attitude, emptied all the alcohol in the house and got completely drunk. She collapsed in front of Jeong Soon-hee (played by Kim Jeong-young) and Ji Gang-oh (played by Yang Hyuk), and with a cold, she was bedridden for several days. When Park Sung-jae (played by Yoon Hyun-min) heard about this, he sent expensive medicinal tonics and various foods to take care of her.
A few days later, as Eun-oh headed to the cafe, Ji-hyuk appeared before her. After a moment of panic, Ji-hyuk advised Eun-oh, who was trying hard to ease the awkward atmosphere, saying, "From now on, when you meet a man, meet a good person instead of someone you like," and Eun-oh suppressed her sad feelings while watching Ji-hyuk's receding figure.
When Eun-oh returned to the cafe, she immediately reunited with Go Seong-hee (played by Lee Tae-ran). After seeing Eun-oh's portfolio, Seong-hee entrusted her with interior design without hesitation, hinting at a new relationship. As curiosity grew about Seong-hee's intentions in getting closer to Eun-oh, Sung-jae found Ji-hyuk, who had gone missing after resigning, and learned that he was contemplating marriage with Jeong Bo-ah (played by Go Won-hee). Despite Sung-jae's strong opposition, Ji-hyuk expressed defiance, leading to another clash between the two.
At the end of the broadcast, Ji-hyuk shocked viewers by deciding to marry Bo-ah. He immediately met with Bo-ah's father, the representative of Hanul Construction, and confirmed the marriage on the spot, notifying his family of the date for the meeting and sharing his decision. Curiosity is growing over how his family will react to his sudden decision and how his relationship with Eun-oh will change in the next broadcast.
