Singer and actor Nam Gyu-ri presented a camping live filled with romance and healing alongside the project group "Heo Yong-byul" (Heo Gak, Shin Yong-jae, Lim Han-byeol).
On the 17th, Nam Gyu-ri released her eighth vlog "Summer Night Heo Yong-byul Concert MC Gyu-ri is growing...!" on her YouTube channel "Gyu-mung". Having embarked on her first solo camping trip on Seokmodo Island in Ganghwa, she created a special summer night by inviting Heo Yong-byul as guests for a live performance and talk.
In the video opening, Nam Gyu-ri said, "This was a time when I felt again that music has the power to capture someone's heart, bring back memories, and warm the soul," adding, "It felt like I was invited to the enchanting 'star moment' of Heo Yong-byul rather than them coming to Gyu-mung. I express my deep gratitude once again to the three who joined me in Gyu-mung."
On the live stage set against a bonfire, Heo Gak performed "Alone, a Glass," Shin Yong-jae presented "Fire Burning," and Lim Han-byeol showcased "Hello, to You Today," enhancing the summer night's atmosphere. In the subsequent talk, they shared their respective debut stories and engaged in a candid conversation.
Nam Gyu-ri recalled, "I was able to debut with SeeYa thanks to senior Vibe Yoo Jae-hyun," stating, "At a time when I was about to give up on the path of a singer, after persuasion, I visited the recording studio, where there were composer Jo Yong-soo and two female vocalists. I was asked to sing just two lines on the spot, and the song I sang then was 'The Scent of a Woman.' The next day, I signed a contract, leading to a rapid debut in just a month."
He also added that despite pursuing a trainee life for eight years since childhood, he faced several setbacks and was given another opportunity at a moment when he was about to give up on becoming a singer. In response, Shin Yong-jae expressed surprise, saying, "It's the first time I've heard the legend of your debut, senior."
Meanwhile, on the same day, Nam Gyu-ri released a new song "I Still Like You." This new attempt, based on a band sound, showcased vocals that transcend the feelings of existing ballads, revealing her musical transformation.
