Song Seung-heon returns with a romantic comedy.
Song Seung-heon plays the role of the detective 'Dokgo-cheol' in the Genie TV original drama 'My Troublesome Star' (directed by Choi Young-hoon, written by Park Ji-ha, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Jumbo Film and Studio Bomb), which premieres today (18th).
Dokgo-cheol is a character aiming to return to the violent crimes unit who infiltrates as the manager of Bong Cheong-ja, and the story of the two, who have leaped over 25 years in one go, is expected to evoke joyful laughter, empathy, and excitement.
Song Seung-heon has showcased his unique acting skills while transitioning between television and film. Last year, he played the role of the genius con artist 'Kang Ha-ri' in tvN's 'Player 2: War of the Cons.' He not only demonstrated a perfect character portrayal with his impressive visuals in each episode but also delivered intense immersion as 'Sung-jin,' revealing hidden desires after his fiancée vanished in the movie 'Hidden Face.' As Song Seung-heon has shown diverse acting styles, attention is focused on his return to the romantic comedy genre after a long time.
In a recently released highlight video, Song Seung-heon appears with a seemingly indifferent yet charismatic demeanor, casting suspicious glances at Cheong-ja during their first encounter, generating laughter with their bickering chemistry. At the same time, he shows up to help Cheong-ja at a moment of crisis, creating a strange atmosphere, and his line, "Just stand tall and hold your head high," evokes excitement. Therefore, interest is soaring in Song Seung-heon, who is set to reveal another new side through 'My Troublesome Star.'
Meanwhile, the Genie TV original drama 'My Troublesome Star,' featuring Song Seung-heon, Uhm Jung-hwa, Lee El, and Oh Dae-hwan, will premiere today (18th) at 10 p.m. on channel ENA, and new episodes will be exclusively available for free VOD on KT Genie TV right after the broadcast every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. It will also be available on Tving.
