Former S.E.S member Shu (real name Yoo Soo-young) is drawing attention with her announcement that she will directly address the divorce rumors surrounding her relationship with her husband, Lim Hyo-seong.
On the 15th, a video titled "Shu has returned (Why did she return after 8 years?)" was released on the YouTube channel "Human That's Shu." At the end of the video, there is a scene where Shu and Lim Hyo-seong appear together and have an honest conversation.
Shu asked, "Isn't the word couple quite burdensome? Do you think we're a couple?" Lim Hyo-seong replied, "Four years of marriage, 11 years of friendship. You know, we're friends," offering a meaningful response. To this, Shu said, "I think of you like a friend, so we hardly ever fight," and Lim Hyo-seong admitted, "Right, I try not to argue. Even when you keep pushing me."
Furthermore, Shu suddenly asked, "Don't you have a pretty good girlfriend these days?" which shocked Lim Hyo-seong. He reacted, "You're crazy. Are you psycho?" but Shu joked, "Isn't it something I can ask? How great would it be, in an American style?"
The couple has been embroiled in divorce rumors multiple times since Shu's gambling controversy, but they have officially denied it. However, in this video, they acknowledged the fact that they had briefly separated. It was revealed that even during their separation, Lim Hyo-seong helped pay off Shu's gambling debt amounting to hundreds of millions won, adding further intrigue.
The video ends with Shu saying, "We're getting along well like friends without fighting," and a subtitle appears stating, "The truth about the Shu couple, which has only been rumored until now," increasing curiosity about their true relationship.
Shu and Lim Hyo-seong married in 2010 and have one son and two daughters. Meanwhile, Shu was sentenced to six months in prison with a two-year probation for habitual gambling in 2018, and in 2022, she worked as an ambassador for gambling prevention, demonstrating her determination to make a comeback.
