In May, she signaled the start of the project with her remake of the song 'Heartache', and new songs will be released sequentially until the end of the year.
The new song 'I Still Like You' features impressive band sounds based on indie pop and dream pop. It expresses the regret and hesitation of a fading love with a dreamy texture, and the production by hitmaker Park Geun-tae has enhanced the song's completeness. Nam Gyu-ri showcases a different charm with a new vocal style that goes beyond her usual emotional ballads.
Nam Gyu-ri, who debuted as the lead vocalist of SeeYa in 2006 and led the golden age of medium-tempo ballads, has undergone a musical transformation through collaboration with a band in this song, as well as a visual change. The final teaser video, released the day before the new song's launch, combined her languid and dreamy vocals with freckled makeup and varied emotional performances, heightening expectations for Nam Gyu-ri's new transformation.
Nam Gyu-ri said, "Through this song, I wanted to show another side of my voice that I have not revealed until now," and added, "I hope this becomes an opportunity to communicate more broadly with my fans musically."
