Geum pointed out that nowadays, parents raise their children too precious. He remembered, "(I raised my son) well like a weed. When I told him to leave the house, he left. He said he couldn't go to school because he felt ashamed after the divorce. He said it was hard to see his friends and didn't want to go. He didn't go for about 4 to 5 days."
Geum Bora said, "(To my son) I told him if he wasn't going to school, then he should leave, and he packed up his trunk and left. This was when he was in the third year of middle school." Geum's son left home and headed to his father's house. Geum added that they lived somewhat apart after he left in middle school and returned all grown up.
