'B:MY BOYZ' has hinted at the birth of a new 'K-POP legend' through the 4th round.
On the 16th, during the 9th episode of SBS's large-scale global boy group audition program 'B:MY BOYZ' (hereinafter referred to as 'B:MY BOYZ'), the 4th round 'K-POP Legend Match' was held with TOP idol Dongbang's Yunho.
The 4th round will proceed with the showdown of three teams: 'Rising Sun' (Rizwei, Park Se-chan, Park Jun-hyuk, Ai, Lim Ji-hwan, Hyo), 'Mirotic' (Kim Bo-hyun, Moon Jae-il, Bandaniel, Seo Jun-hyuk, Yang Hyun-bin, Lee Yeon-tae, Lee Jun-myung), and 'Keep Your Head Down' (Kang Jun-seong, Kim Jung-hun, Lee Yoon-seong, Jang Won, Kai, Haruto, Hiroto). The TOP 3 from the 3rd round, Hyo, Lee Yeon-tae, and Kang Jun-seong, decided the song selections and member composition themselves. B:GINNERs will present their designated song stage 'HUG'.
First, Lee Yeon-tae, who formed the 'Mirotic' team, noted, "'Mirotic' is a legendary song among legends, and many seniors have covered it. The key is to show something new while enjoying it." While group practice was in a cheerful atmosphere, the members pondered expressing a sexy vibe.
The 'Keep Your Head Down' team experienced initial difficulties with powerful choreography and high notes as well as fast rap, but began team rehearsals focusing on song interpretation centered around Kim Jung-hun. Kim Jung-hun said, "I want to express a feeling of release by pushing through together." Kai, playing a central role, stated, "If we emit energy, we'll receive good evaluations."
The 'Rising Sun' team focused on a desperate performance as the killing point, concentrating on live practice despite the song's overwhelming difficulty. Park Se-chan even attempted knee sliding. Hyo encouraged the team, saying, "Since this stage is the semi-final, let's burn our will thinking it's a rush toward debut."
This round's mid-evaluation took place in an unexpected location. Arriving at a high school without knowing the destination, the B:GINNERs faced unexpected mid-evaluation in front of masters and real students. For a moment, the tension was palpable, but soon a professional live performance garnered enthusiastic cheers from the students. Hyo remarked, "I was so excited that I made some mistakes," yet predicted growth on the actual stage. Kang Jun-seong said, "Thanks to the students, I gained a lot of energy," while Kim Jung-hun recalled, "It was a scene one might find in a youth drama."
After the mid-evaluation, reflecting the feedback from the masters, 'Mirotic's' Kim Bo-hyun and Bandaniel focused on powerful choreography, while 'Keep Your Head Down's' Kang Jun-seong and Lee Yoon-seong concentrated on immersive expressions filled with complete anger. The 'Rising Sun' team's Ai worked to elevate relatively weaker charisma. In the meantime, master Leah Kim praised, "Kai looked really cool when he came out," and Jin-ho commended, "Hyo did well at the start of the rap," building expectations for the two B:GINNERs.
Finally, MCs Mi-yeon and Dex announced the start of the 4th round main stage, and Dongbang's Yunho appeared as a TOP idol, evoking admiration. Yunho cheered for the 'Rising Sun' team, saying, "I am looking forward to the 'Rising Sun' team." Hyo suggested that to express addictiveness, there should be memorable keywords, proposing an idea using the sound of a clock to create the introductory composition.
After the intense 'Rising Sun' stage, Yunho said, "The energy was really great. I understand why the creative intro was expressed with the clock. Ai's high-level two-kick technique was amazing. Hyo opened the song with a rap intro, and I felt the tone had charisma while being stable in pitch and rhythm. I think Hyo expressed this song well," he praised. Leah Kim agreed, saying, "This song really suits Hyo." Yunho then added, "It was a bit disappointing that it focused too much on dance. The momentum was good, so let's refine it going forward," offering precise yet warm feedback. The 'Rising Sun' team also expressed satisfaction with their stage experience, creating a warm atmosphere.
The stages of 'Mirotic' and 'Keep Your Head Down,' which started successfully in the 4th round, will be revealed in next week's broadcast. The growth in ability and teamwork of the B:GINNERs approaching the semi-final is thrilling and moving for the viewers. Attention is drawn to the results of the 4th round, which will be the climax of 'B:MY BOYZ.'
