Actress Mila Kunis was strict about her eating habits when she granted an appearance in the psychological thriller film 'Black Swan.'
Kunis stated in a recent interview with a fashion magazine, "I danced a lot and hardly ate. It's something I shouldn't say, but it's the truth." She played the role of Lily in the 2010 film 'Black Swan.'
At that time, Kunis expected that she would only have three months to prepare her role with Natalie Portman. However, after some investors pulled out, she noted, "The project was extended to six months while Director Darren was trying to find funding."
Kunis revealed, "It was tough for Darren, but Portman and I were so happy that we had an additional three months to dance."
Kunis, who portrayed another persona of Lily, was also referred to as 'the Black Swan,' shared some of the brutal physical effects of the ballet scenes. She recalled, "We filmed that dance scene for hours, and because we were lifted continuously, I bruised all over my ribs."
Kunis also revealed for the first time about her dramatic weight loss of about 9 kg for the film. She said, "I drank a lot of soup and danced for 12 hours a day" while preparing for 'Black Swan' in 2010. She stated that her body shape was "not the same as before."
She continued, "My body shape changed. When I lost weight down to 45 kg, I was muscular like a small brick house, but it was just bones and skin. When I gained weight again, it shifted completely to different areas. The fat that left my chest all went to my sides and stomach."
