"My lovely journey"'s Gong Seung-yeon embarks on her first overseas trip.
In Channel A's Saturday drama "My lovely journey" (written by Jeong Hoe-hyun, directed by Kang Sol), Kang Yu-reum (played by Gong Seung-yeon) faces a new challenge during her third proxy travel with her first overseas trip. The destination of this proxy travel is the romantic port city of Hakodate in Hokkaido, Japan. As it is her first proxy trip abroad, a global journey armed with unexpected special guest appearances and an even fresher and more colorful array of sights is set to begin.
In the sixth episode, airing at 9:20 p.m. today (17th), Yu-reum's departure for her third proxy travel is depicted. The excitement for her first overseas trip is brief, as this journey holds an unusual mystery from the start. It relates to an old travel itinerary handed over by the client that is over 10 years old. Among the released stills, the image of Ha Seok-jin transformed into a cardiac surgeon catches attention first. Ha Seok-jin appears as Cha Yeong-hun, the client for the third proxy travel, urging Yu-reum to travel on the designated day as outlined in the 10-year-old itinerary. This raises curiosity about the hidden stories contained in the travel plan and the reason why Yeong-hun so desperately requested to have the journey represented.
Hakodate will feature even more interesting cast members to enhance the drama. First, Japanese actor Tomosaka Rie plays the enigmatic woman Sato Haruko, who appears as if by fate—or rather, karma—during Yu-reum's journey. The released stills capture Haruko, who is seen strolling alongside Yu-reum while sightseeing Hakodate, and ominously hint that the travel itinerary may unsettlingly overlap with Yu-reum's plans. Whether Haruko will be a helper in Yu-reum's proxy travel or an unpredictable variable that disrupts the entire plan is why anticipation for the results of this third proxy travel is heightened.
Also participating is Fujii Mina, a familiar face from domestic entertainment and dramas, appearing in the role of Midori. Midori is expected to provide shocking mysteries related to Haruko, enhancing the intrigue for Yu-reum, who is unfamiliar with her first overseas trip. Additionally, a special appearance by a YouTuber known as Director General Matsuda has been announced, further enriching the filming in Japan.
The production team noted, "In the sixth episode, the stage expands from Korea to Hakodate, Japan, as new characters and mysteries intertwine in an exciting development. The appearance of the client holding secrets from 10 years ago and mysterious characters subtly intertwined with Yu-reum's first overseas proxy travel will provide unpredictable entertainment." They added, "With special guest appearances from Ha Seok-jin, Tomosaka Rie, Fujii Mina, and Director General Matsuda, viewers can look forward to a variety of captivating sights, including the beautiful visuals of Hakodate."
