This special connection began in the 2015 broadcast of Documentary 3 Days – Tomorrow. The production team met two female college students while interviewing university students enjoying train travel. During the shoot, one student suggested, "Let's travel the same route again in ten years," and her friend agreed. They even playfully requested the PD holding the camera, saying, "Please make sure to film it again then." The PD joked, "Will I still be doing this then?" and the three of them made a promise, saying, "Then let's meet here on August 15, 2025," while pinky-swearing.
This year, ten years later, a netizen presumed to be the 'girl with glasses' posted on social media, "I really miss the PD. A promise made in jest feels so precious now," reigniting interest in the promise. The old Andong Station was transferred to Songhyeon-dong in 2020 and has since transformed into the multi-cultural arts space 'MODI684', but efforts to revisit this place as the location of the promise continued.
And yesterday morning, on the 15th, more than 200 citizens gathered at the square of the old Andong Station with the production team of 'Documentary 3 Days.' KBS announced a special version of Documentary 3 Days – About Time and even prepared for a live broadcast from the scene. The production team also shared the exciting news that one of the two female students promised back then had arrived.
However, at 7:37 a.m., a message stating, "I will blow up the old Andong Station square," appeared in the YouTube live chat, dramatically changing the atmosphere. The police immediately dispatched the precinct, initial response team, and police special forces to secure the area and began searching. Access was restricted for citizens, and the reunion was halted at the last moment. A police official stated, "No explosives were found, but we are tracking the author, including the possibility of a false report."
