'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan 2' delivered a culinary experience with Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube, who enjoyed 'three flavors' with actor Lee Byung-jun.
In the 42nd episode of 'Jun Hyun-moo's Plan 2' (co-produced by MBN and Channel S), broadcast on the 15th, Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) embarked on a food trip exploring the 'real' restaurants of Tongyang, known as the 'Naples of the East,' along with their 'eating friend' Lee Byung-jun. They visited not only the original restaurant of Chungmu Kimbap, highly recommended by locals, but also enjoyed special garlic gopchang and the representative food culture of Tongyang, 'Dajji,' bringing laughter and healing to viewers.
That day, Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube chose Tongyang's soul food, 'Chungmu Kimbap,' as their first meal and went for a 'street interview.' The two then headed to the original Chungmu Kimbap restaurant, which received overwhelming 'picks' from locals, and showcased a storm of eating in delight with comments like, 'The squid is really chewy!' and 'The pickled radish is number one!' After clearing their first meal in Tongyang, Jun Hyun-moo introduced Lee Byung-jun by saying, 'Today's eating friend has been a scene-stealer and has even sung with me.' Lee Byung-jun proudly displayed his close friendship by saying, 'We have been shoulder-to-shoulder for six months on a music show with Jun Hyun-moo,' then expressed his curiosity by asking, 'What kind of food did you invite me to Tongyang for?' However, when Jun Hyun-moo revealed, 'Today's menu is small gopchang!', he couldn't hide his disappointment, saying, 'I had that yesterday...'
Shortly after, the three arrived at the gopchang restaurant, where they started grilling marinated beef tripe on stones instead of charcoal. After tasting the grilled daechang and gopchang stew loaded with ingredients, they praised, 'There's absolutely no smell, and it tastes appealing to the MZ generation.' After their food adventure, Lee Byung-jun mentioned, 'I have a gift' and subtly took out his recently released trot album. He explained, 'This album contains a story about my first love that I fell for at first sight.' After showing a 'real friendship' vibe, when Lee Byung-jun left, Kwak Tube asked, 'How do we wrap up our time in Tongyang?' Jun Hyun-moo declared, 'What do you think? Should we end with a banchan rice? No. Let's wrap it up with 'Dajji,' which is a cultural representation that is a 'no-comparison' level.' They then headed to the famous 'Dajji alley' in Tongyang to find a selected restaurant. There, they fully enjoyed a romantic feast with endless servings of 'Dajji,' starting from abalone porridge, marinated anchovies, semi-dried grilled fish, various sashimi and seafood, steamed fine scallops, and spicy fish stew.
In particular, regarding the 'semi-dried grilled fish,' Jun Hyun-moo praised, 'Dong-yeop is my 'eating master.' He said, 'Seafood is best when semi-dried,' and it really is the best.' However, when Kwak Tube tasted the sashimi and exclaimed, 'Wow~ The thickness of the sashimi is amazing,' Jun Hyun-moo quickly corrected him laughingly, 'Then Dong-yeop must be wrong~.' Meanwhile, Jun Hyun-moo shrank back in front of the wriggling raw shrimp sashimi, expressing, 'I saw its eyeball move. Ah.. stress,' while Kwak Tube joked, 'After eating raw shrimp sashimi, it jumps in my mouth,' generating a comedic chemistry.
During their delightful food journey paired with beer, the two engaged in candid 'marriage talk.' Jun Hyun-moo remarked, 'I think I need to make a decision within five years,' and then ironically created headlines such as, 'Jun Hyun-moo declares he is remaining single in five years!', 'Hosting 'I Live Alone' for the 20th year!' He then revealed his true feelings, saying, 'I can't help it. But I don't want to force marriage.' Kwak Tube stated, 'I originally wanted to get married early,' and Jun Hyun-moo advised, 'If you don't get married quickly, you'll end up like me.
