Broadcaster Kim Soo-min, a former announcer, revealed the differences in educational values with her husband.
On the 14th, Kim Soo-min uploaded a photo to her social account, saying, "Oppa.. you bought something thin.. how do I bring this to America...."
The uploaded photo features a large box. On top of the box is a label that reads "30 English classic fairy tales" along with a price tag of '405,000 won', which draws attention.
This appears to be because Kim Soo-min's husband purchased fairy tale books in bulk for their children's English education. However, as Kim Soo-min is currently preparing to temporarily move to America with her family for law school, she expressed concerns about the baggage.
Kim Soo-min said, "Why is my husband doing this? He says we should take this to America. He says we can go to the public library, but that doesn't work. He says I have to read it every night... our educational values don't match," expressing her conflict. Ultimately, she revealed that she succeeded in persuading her husband, saying, "We agreed to return it."
Meanwhile, Kim Soo-min attracted attention by entering SBS as a 24th-term announcer at the age of 21 in 2018, making her the youngest ever to join SBS. However, she resigned from SBS in 2021, citing her focus on studies, and later revealed her relationship through YouTube. The following year, she registered her marriage with her husband, who is five years her senior and a prosecutor, on September after their wedding on February.
Afterward, she welcomed her first son in December of the same year, gave birth to her second daughter last May, and made headlines this year by passing the UCLA Law School entrance exam and receiving a scholarship. Kim Soo-min mentioned on the MBN show "Sokpuri Show Dongchimi" aired last month, "My husband is taking parental leave, and we are all going together. It's a short one-year program," sharing that the whole family plans to go abroad for studies, and she is currently sharing her preparations for leaving Korea through social media.
