Actress Oh Yoon-ah decided to use the obesity treatment medication 'Wegovy' for the health of her son, Min, who has a developmental disability.
On the 15th, a video titled 'Mom Oh Yoon-ah is scary but Song Min's laughter is abundant!' was released on the YouTube channel 'Oh! Yoon-ah.' In the video, Oh Yoon-ah visited Mallipo Beach in Taean, South Chungcheong Province, where she enjoyed the Viking ride with her son.
He noted, 'Since my son Min feels sensory stimulation slower than others, I heard that these rides are good for providing stimulation,' adding, 'Wherever we go, he challenges himself to the scariest rides.'
After riding the Viking, while the mother struggled alone, Min continuously boarded and enjoyed himself. Oh Yoon-ah smiled and said, 'For Min, it's like bouncing on a trampoline, so it's fun. At Everland, I have to ride alone with a fast pass, but he keeps asking to ride together, which is scary for me.'
That day, Oh Yoon-ah also shared various anecdotes related to Min. She recalled, 'In the past, when we were at the beach, Min went too deep, prompting the coast guard and police to be dispatched,' adding, 'My father nearly died at that time.'
Later, while enjoying a slush at a food stall, Oh Yoon-ah revealed Min's obesity treatment plan. She said, 'Min also wants to use Wegovy. Since he gained weight after taking medication, the doctor suggested it might actually be effective,' adding, 'Next year he will be an adult, and I'm thinking of starting around the latter half of winter.'
Oh Yoon-ah remarked, 'At first, I was hesitant because I thought it might be dangerous, but they said in Min's case, severe obesity is more dangerous.' She added, 'Min has grown a lot, so there are fewer occasions now when he cannot be controlled as before. I want to help him grow as a YouTuber, too.'
Meanwhile, Oh Yoon-ah shares honest and warm family stories through her YouTube channel 'Oh! Yoon-ah,' which features her daily life with her son.
