The outrageous claims of criminals who asserted that their actions were accidental were revealed on 'Brave Detectives 4'.
On the 15th, the 47th episode of T-Cast E Channel's 'Brave Detectives 4' (directed by Lee Ji-seon) featured Incheon Bupyeong Police Station Criminal Division Chief Lee Kwang-hee, former Commissioner Yoon Wae-cheol of the Scientific Investigation Team (KCSI), and Deputy Chief Kim Jin-soo, who presented their case files that they solved themselves. Along with them, 'Soccer Legend' Kim Nam-il appeared as a guest.
The first case introduced that day began with the urgent report from a daughter that her mother, who had left for work, had not returned home and that her mobile phone was turned off. One hour after the missing person's report was filed, it was reported that 500,000 won was withdrawn from the card held by the missing person, and the last mobile phone base station location was near the bank from which cash was withdrawn.
The missing person, who had been working for a cosmetics sales company, had a dinner appointment with a contractor father and daughter who had promised a supply contract. The father, Mr. Kwon, claimed he had never met the missing person, but CCTV footage revealed that the two had indeed met. Mr. Kwon had a criminal record of repeating incarceration and release since he was 16 years old. However, the bank's CCTV confirmed that the cash withdrawer was not Mr. Kwon but another man. Mr. Park, identified by fingerprints on the transaction slip, was presumed to be acquainted with Mr. Kwon. Later, Mr. Kwon was captured on CCTV disposing of a paper bag in an alley near the bank, which contained a burnt handbag, clothes, shoes, and bloodstained gloves belonging to the missing person.
Mr. Kwon was arrested while packing his belongings with his girlfriend in a motel. He denied committing the crime but claimed that he only assisted in the concealment of the body after the missing person's items were discovered. The victim's vehicle was found parked on the street, and the victim's body was discovered in the trunk. Blood stains found in the paper bag were also confirmed to belong to the victim. Mr. Kwon claimed that he accidentally killed Mr. Park during a dispute over money, but it was revealed that he had planned in vain to let the case become a mystery upon Mr. Park's disappearance. Mr. Kwon, also known by his full name Kwon Jae-chan, was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The incident introduced by KCSI began with a report from a nearby resident about a vehicle fire occurring early in the morning. The burnt vehicle was found in a drainage ditch, and the driver was already deceased. Due to the intensity of the fire, only the gender could be confirmed as female. While it was initially suspected to be a traffic accident on an icy road, the hood and bumper appeared intact for an explosion accident, and the gear was in reverse instead of drive.
The vehicle owner was a man living 5 kilometers away from the site, and he tearfully affirmed that while the car was indeed his, it was mainly used by his wife. Upon DNA verification, it was confirmed that the deceased was his wife. The husband stated that he had been with his wife until 50 minutes before the report, after finishing a dawn prayer together. The autopsy revealed that the wife had already been dead before the fire, and it had been staged to appear as an accident.

The accident took place in the village where the husband was born, and he was verified to have been there on the morning of the incident. Notably, a witness testified that the wife prayed asking her husband to stop gambling, and it was also revealed that the husband had served time for armed robbery before marriage.
After his wife's funeral, the husband, who had been re-admitted to the rehabilitation hospital, went missing but was caught playing poker at a nearby PC room. He initially denied the crime but later claimed that he killed his wife in anger after she insulted his siblings. He also stated that he killed her after being refused a divorce. He needed basic living support but claimed his wife had denied him.
