Meanwhile, Park Jiyeon married comedian Lee Sugeun in 2008 and has two sons. However, during her second pregnancy in 2011, her kidney function deteriorated due to pregnancy-induced hypertension, and she received a kidney transplant from her father. Unfortunately, the transplant did not take well, and she has been undergoing dialysis treatment ever since.
Ultimately, after being advised by medical staff to seek a transplant, she applied to wait for a donation from a brain-dead donor and is expected to receive a kidney from her older brother around mid-August, receiving support from many.
