Jo Hyun-jae revealed his time as one of the 'Top 5 Hallyu Stars.'
In the 7th episode of the 5th season of MBN 'Let's Go Go,' aired on the 16th, MC An Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee met with four historical drama actors: Kim Seung-soo, Lee Min-woo, Jo Hyun-jae, and Jung Eun-pyo, sharing stories.
On this day, they headed to Jo Hyun-jae's house located in Seongdong-gu, where Hong Hyun-hee mentioned, "As far as I remember, wasn't Hyun-jae debuting as a singer?"
Jo Hyun-jae said, "I debuted as a ballad group, and (member) Kim Kang-woo was included. We prepared for a year, broadcasted twice, and we disbanded due to the agency's circumstances. The name of the group meant 'guardian angel'," drawing attention to his idol days.
Additionally, when they moved to the living room, a 'Jo Hyun-jae photobook' released in Japan caught their attention. Jo Hyun-jae remarked, "At this time, I was slightly included with the seniors Bae Yong-joon, So Ji-sub, and Lee Byung-hun," referring to his prime days.
Kim Seung-soo expressed surprise, saying, "I guess you were included in the (Hallyu star) 'Four Kings.'" Jo Hyun-jae replied, "It's not four; more like the fifth. I still occasionally have fan meetings," showcasing his enduring popularity.
