The group Epik High found the best burger of their lives in the U.S.
Epik High (Tablo, Mithra, Tukutz) released a video titled "Found the best burger in the U.S., almost couldn't come to Korea" on their official YouTube channel on the 14th.
Last week, Epik High, who had shown their visit to the YouTube headquarters to receive the gold button celebrating 1 million subscribers in the 'Epic Case' video, went on a burger tour in San Francisco, U.S. After tasting the burgers they each ordered at their first restaurant, the three praised, "American hamburgers tend to be salty, but this one isn't salty at all," "It has a low-key Shake Shack vibe," and "It's the tastiest burger I've had in the last few years," which drew attention.
Tablo complimented Chef Carlos, who handles all the cooking in the restaurant, saying, "Most burger joints are oily and salty, but this one is perfect in flavor and not at all greasy. It's one of the best burgers I've ever had." He continued to express his satisfaction, saying, "When the person is nice, the food is also delicious. I really like Carlos."
To move to the next location, Epik High boarded the Waymo (autonomous taxi) they had booked in advance, and they marveled at the car that drove itself to the destination without a driver. The members were fascinated by the cutting-edge AI technology that not only offered autonomous driving but also allowed them to choose the music they wanted to listen to during the ride, expressing, "When we were kids, there wasn't even navigation," reflecting on how times have changed. Meanwhile, the playful Tukutz joked, "Aren't you driving properly?" yelling at the AI, bringing laughter.
Upon arriving at the second burger joint, Epik High was once again unable to hide their astonishment at the size of the hamburgers that epitomized the scale of America. The three continued with serious evaluations, saying, "This one also doesn't feel greasy," "It's healthier than the first burger I had," and "If you like pure burger taste, this place seems fine." Tukutz compared it, stating, "If the previous restaurant was a Korean grocery store, this one is an organic market," prompting agreement among the members.
Meanwhile, Tablo, while removing the lettuce from his burger, revealed, "(Kang) Hyejeong is going to scold me a lot" indicating that his wife often scolds him for his so-called 'elementary school taste.' To this, Tukutz responded, "I grew up eating lettuce when the beef inside the burger was alive. Since we ate that cow, eating the lettuce is almost the same thing." Satisfied, Tablo provocatively said, "Are you watching, Hyejeong? I told you so," adding one more deed to be scolded for.
Upon arriving at the last restaurant, which would cap off their burger tour, Epik High switched to a chicken burger for tasting and remarked, "I understand why people in this neighborhood like it," offering high praise. The three then voted for the best burger of their lives, selecting the restaurant they visited first as the best, concluding their tour.
