CORTIS presents a new form of K-pop group with free-spirited and raw charm, breaking away from existing molds.
The American music magazine Rolling Stone has recently featured an article on its website spotlighting CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Geonho), who are set to debut on August 18.
Rolling Stone noted it is "the most stunning K-pop debut this year," saying, "After months of anticipation and rumors, a new artist from the agency that represents BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER has finally unveiled itself." The intense interest in the new team from Big Hit Music, known as the 'house of boy groups,' highlights its reach beyond the domestic market to North America.
Rolling Stone focused on the creative abilities of the five members. CORTIS released the official music video for their debut album's intro track, "GO!" on the 11th and a conceptual performance film on the 12th. The media noted, quoting the members, that "it only took them 2 to 3 days to create the choreography for 'GO!'."
At the end of the article, it reiterated the members' involvement in all aspects of content creation, praising that "they not only actively participate in song production but also show talents that encompass choreography and video. Every piece of work the team presents is infused with creative ideas," and "all members are active as true creators in their respective fields."
Meanwhile, CORTIS will release their debut song "What You Want" at 6 p.m. on the 18th. This song serves as a declaration embodying CORTIS's commitment as they step into a new world. Through the content showcased on this day, they will demonstrate the true essence of the 'Young Creator Crew' that collaboratively creates music, choreography, and videos. The debut album "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES" will be officially released at 6 p.m. on September 8.
