At the '80th Liberation Day' event, Lee Seung-hwan adorned the finale stage and concluded with his heartfelt remarks.
This evening, on the 15th, the '21st Presidential National Appointment Ceremony' was held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, attended by 80 representatives of the people and key figures from various sectors. This was also accompanied by a celebration performance for the 80th anniversary of the liberation.
President Lee Jae-myung and his wife, Kim Hye-kyung, also attended the appointment ceremony, watching performances that included DJ music, dance, and Taekwondo, followed by the stage of singers San and Jeong Eun-ji, who introduced the insert song 'Golden' from the recently globally popular 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.'
Above all, the event concluded with singer Lee Seung-hwan's stage. He opened the performance with 'As Much as Love is Spread in the World'. After the stage, Lee Seung-hwan noted, 'I am so proud of our country and the democracy we have created.' He added, 'I am proud that we, who know how to enjoy our culture that the whole world is excited about, can look forward to our future with a sense of strong stability after enduring a harsh, cold, and anxious winter.'
In particular, he said, 'Honestly, I am very nervous because I have often stood in the square for bad reasons.' He expressed, 'Standing in the square for good reasons feels like a dream and is an honor. After going through a harsh, cold, and anxious winter, I am excited about our future with a sense of strong stability.'
Regarding being invited to the '80th Liberation Day' presidential appointment ceremony, Lee Seung-hwan expressed, 'I want to confess something at this honorable place,' and added, 'You probably feel the same way. I hope you will shout again after my confession.' Lee Seung-hwan remarked, 'Looking at me with rough eyes, I want to say this at this solemn place: I love you, Korea! Long live!'
The celebration performance concluded with the hit song 'Superhero'. The lyrics 'From this moment on, we are the center of Korea' were included in the song, adding meaning, and the audience erupted with encore cheers, creating a joyful atmosphere to end the stage.
