Park Jeong-jin and Song Se-ra announced their marriage news by posting a video titled 'After 6 years of dating… we are finally getting married' on their YouTube channel on the 14th.
The two said, "Everyone, we are getting married next spring," adding, "Originally, we filmed anniversary videos every year for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd anniversaries. This year, we uniquely did not post a 6th anniversary video. The truth is, we were just too busy preparing for this."
Park Jeong-jin said, "We appeared on the show 'Love Catcher' in 2019. It's already been 6 years. I was 29 years old at that time. The passage of time suddenly feels overwhelming."
Song Se-ra also expressed her thoughts, saying, "I was 27 years old when I first appeared, so now I am the age of someone born in 1999."
Song Se-ra continued, "It's just in spring of next year. Honestly, I didn't really think of getting married in spring, but we originally planned to do it later. We didn't feel any pressure about marriage from each other." She explained, "I didn't want to be tied down by the institution of marriage. Looking around, I noticed that many experience a lot of stress while preparing for marriage. I think I was also afraid because I made assumptions. I thought if it's going to be this tiring, we might as well just delay it."
Park Jeong-jin stated, "That's true, and the biggest reason is that we had no thoughts of having children. Even now, we haven't made a definite decision, but we don't really think about having kids anytime soon. Anyway, we are getting married next year."
