The 23-year veteran of the screen and TV, known for his intense yet sometimes chilling performances, is expected to unveil the surprising aspects of his life. Reports indicate the 'Fun-Staurant' cast was impressed, calling him the 'New National Husband.'
In the VCR to be revealed that day, Kim Kang-woo said, 'I have been married for 15 years,' adding, 'I have two teenage sons, one in middle school and another in elementary school.' He then suddenly shouted, "I will win! Who dares challenge my teenagers?!" giving a glimpse into the struggles of a father raising two teenage sons, which brought laughter. Furthermore, Kim Kang-woo's extraordinary love for his family captivated everyone's attention.
Kim Kang-woo revealed, "I have been keeping a parenting journal for 15 years," which surprised everyone. After the birth of his first son, he paused his acting career for a year to devote himself entirely to parenting. Kim Kang-woo reminisced, "I am a first-time dad, but my wife is also a first-time mom. We couldn't leave him behind; we raised him together," reflecting that this time was "truly dazzling."
The screen then unveiled the parenting journal that Kim Kang-woo has been writing for 15 years on behalf of his wife since she was pregnant with their first child. With every page of the journal unveiled—from the day they heard about her pregnancy, to the day he was born, and the first time he called him 'Dad'—the heartfelt writings astonished everyone.
In particular, when a phrase stating "Do you know how much your mom suffered to give birth to you? Don't hurt my girl" was revealed, the 'Fun-Staurant' cast was left speechless. They were amazed by Kim Kang-woo's pure love towards his two sons and wife, exclaiming, "That's incredible!"
Moreover, on that day, Kim Kang-woo took to cooking for his growing sons. The three refrigerators in the Kim Kang-woo household, which raises two sons with huge appetites, are always stocked with ingredients. Kim Kang-woo effortlessly prepared his regular meals, including a special boiled pork dish, cucumber and meat soup, and bibimyeon, showcasing his impressive cooking skills. The robust recipes that can satisfy his growing sons are also highly anticipated.
Meanwhile, Kim Kang-woo married Han Mu-young, the older sister of actress Han Hye-jin, in 2010 and has two sons, one born in 2011 and the other in 2013.
The special broadcast for the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day will air at 9:45 p.m. on the 15th.
