Singer Dawn revealed a story about purchasing a work from a master of intangible cultural heritage through a second-hand transaction.
On the 14th, Dawn uploaded a video titled 'My Dawn, My Home Tour' to his YouTube channel.
That day, Dawn had the opportunity to introduce his home for the first time.
He expressed that the living room is the space he is most attached to, saying, "What I wanted to pursue was to harmoniously blend Western interior design with a Tongyang feeling. I will show you the furniture and objects I like."
While introducing various items such as tables, sofas, speakers, and lighting, Dawn pointed to a liability hanging on the wall and said, "I can say this is one of my most cherished possessions." He added, "This is a work by Master Lee Kwang-gu, who is a master of Korean intangible cultural heritage. It's called a peacock fan."
He continued, "How I came to buy this is that I wanted to hang crafts rather than paintings on the wall, and while looking, I found this on a second-hand site. The seller didn't know it was a work by Master Lee Kwang-gu. It's something that should be owned by someone who knows its value, so I bought it. I'm keeping it well. It's one of my favorite objects. You can see that it was all hand-crafted, and the details are amazing. It's so beautiful."
