The idol group brand reputation analysis for August 2025 ranked BLACKPINK first, BTS second, and IVE third.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 81,038,147 idol group brand big data from July 15, 2025, to August 15, 2025, for the idol group brand reputation analysis. This marks a 13.55% increase compared to the 71,366,509 idol group brand big data from last July.
The brand reputation index is an indicator created through brand big data analysis, finding that consumers' online habits significantly affect brand consumption. Through idol group brand reputation analysis, positive and negative evaluations of idol group brands, media attention, consumer interest, and communication volume can be measured. Qualitative assessments from brand reputation monitors were also included.
The idol group brand reputation is analyzed through a brand category analysis that integrates boy groups and girl groups, measuring consumer participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for the idol group brands.
The top 30 ranking of idol group brand reputations for August 2025 is as follows: BLACKPINK, BTS, IVE, Red Velvet, SEVENTEEN, Super Junior, SHINee, TWICE, BIGBANG, RIIZE, ENHYPEN, EXO, Stray Kids, INFINITE, fromis_9, NCT, ATEEZ, ASTRO, WANNA ONE, BTOB, OH MY GIRL, THE BOYZ, Nine, STAYC, NMIXX, ZEROBASEONE, KIKI, BABYMONSTER, FiftyFifty, H1-KEY, in that order.
BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa), which recorded the number one idol group brand reputation, has a participation index of 265,286, a media index of 537,143, a communication index of 2,598,311, and a community index of 3,542,708, leading to a brand reputation index of 6,943,448. This is a 9.91% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 7,707,025 from last July.
BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook), ranked second, has a participation index of 193,158, a media index of 691,005, a communication index of 2,218,289, and a community index of 3,067,090, resulting in a brand reputation index of 6,169,542. This marks a 17.56% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 7,483,615 from last July.
IVE (An Yujin, Gaul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo), ranked third, has a participation index of 233,044, a media index of 364,689, a communication index of 1,474,924, and a community index of 3,121,017, leading to a brand reputation index of 5,193,674. This is a 35.87% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 3,822,629 from last July.
Red Velvet (Wendy, Irene, Seulgi, Joy, Yeri), ranked fourth, has a participation index of 109,760, a media index of 351,689, a communication index of 1,566,143, and a community index of 1,850,188, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,877,780. This marks an 85.86% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,086,430 from last July.
SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, DK, Vernon, Dino), ranked fifth, has a participation index of 186,102, a media index of 392,332, a communication index of 826,721, and a community index of 2,080,633, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,485,787. This is a 14.77% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 3,037,148 from last July.
Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute Director KooChang-Hwan noted that "BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) recorded the number one brand reputation in the idol group category for August 2025. Comparing it to the idol group brand big data of 71,366,509 from last July, there was a 13.55% increase. A detailed analysis shows that brand consumption decreased by 8.81%, brand issues decreased by 5.36%, brand communication increased by 1.64%, and brand diffusion increased by 34.22%."
He also mentioned that "the keywords high in the link analysis for BLACKPINK, which ranked first in idol group brand reputation for August 2025, were 'gather, break through, collaborate', and the keywords high in the keyword analysis were 'run, world tour, Blink'. The positive rate recorded was 92.27%."
