The rising star actor Yun Kyung-ho is expected to continue his 'trendsetting' trajectory by joining 'Cross 2'.
According to OSEN's coverage on 14th, actor Yun Kyung-ho is set to join the movie 'Cross 2'.
In this regard, the agency said through OSEN, "It is one of the proposed works, and we are currently reviewing it." It refrained from commenting on other detailed roles and particulars.
'Cross' is an action film depicting the story of former agent Kang Moo (played by Hwang Jung-min), who lives as a veteran housewife while hiding his past from his wife, and the ace Mi-sun (played by Yum Jung-ah) of the violent crimes investigation unit, who becomes embroiled in a huge incident due to a misunderstanding about her husband's secrets.
Within three days of its release, it recorded 4.5 million viewers (the number calculated by dividing viewing time by the total running time of the work), topping the global TOP 10 movies (non-English) category. Additionally, it gained worldwide popularity by ranking in the TOP 10 list in a total of 11 countries, including Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Kenya.
Fueled by this popularity, production company Sanai Pictures commenced production of 'Cross 2' after a year, with Hwang Jung-min and Yum Jung-ah reportedly considering their return from the previous installment, and the addition of the 'trendsetting' actor Yun Kyung-ho generating excitement.
Yun Kyung-ho has been solidifying his status as a box office actor, actively participating in various works from MBC's 'Such a Close Betrayer' to the Netflix series 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'. Notably, in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call', he played the delightful and relatable Director Han Yu-rim, earning the nickname 'Yoo-rim-ping', and he's also showcasing his presence in the currently screening movie 'My Daughter is a Zombie', writing a new chapter in his career.
