Japanese model Harin (real name Harada Rin), who is from the group NewJeans 'debut team,' recently addressed controversial remarks made during her trainee days.
On the 14th, Harin wrote in Japanese on her YouTube community, "Thank you for suddenly receiving a lot of attention, although I am a little worried these days."
Harin wrote, "The content discussed in the interview is merely my very personal feelings of frustration and disappointment from my past, and there is no intention to blame or expose any specific company or individual."
She continued, "Certainly it was a difficult time for me, but at the same time, it was a valuable opportunity and time that made me stronger," adding, "I am still supporting the members with whom I laughed and cried at that time."
Previously, Harin grants appeared on the YouTube channel of Japanese actor Takeda Hiromitsu last month and shared anecdotes from her time as a trainee in NewJeans.
In the video, Harin revealed, "Just before my debut, I had to give up my dream of becoming an idol due to a sudden decision by the company," and she stated, "One day, I was suddenly told to terminate the contract, and I received notice that I was the only one to leave."
As the news spread, attention focused on Harin's YouTube and social media (SNS) channels, and as malicious comments poured in, it seems Harin ultimately decided to clarify her official stance.
Born in 2003, Harin is a former member of the Japanese idol group 'Shibu3' project and passed the audition of Source Music under HYBE in 2020, later moving to ADOR and debuting as part of NewJeans. She is currently active as a model and actress.
