Actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo from 'Sunny Wind Sunwoo Yong-yeo' revealed her daughter Choi Yeon-je's house.
On the 13th, a video titled "The first reveal of the 100-pyeong luxury LA mansion where Sunwoo Yong-yeo's daughter lives (+ mother-daughter fight)" was released on actress Sunwoo Yong-yeo's YouTube channel.
Sunwoo Yong-yeo woke up at 3 a.m. in her daughter Choi Yeon-je's house in LA. The reason was the time difference. The time difference between LA and Korea is a staggering 16 hours. Sunwoo Yong-yeo welcomed the production crew without looking sleepy.
Sunwoo Yong-yeo introduced, "This is where my daughter lives. It's a villa. Four people live here." The first floor featured a dining room and a living room, while the second floor had children's rooms, a bedroom, and a laundry room. Sunwoo Yong-yeo mentioned, "I heard the bathroom pipe burst. My daughter's family just returned from a 20-day trip, and suddenly there was a noise of something bursting in the bathroom, so I ordered a new toilet," as she explained about her daughter's house. Regarding this magnificent house, Choi Yeon-je explained, "This house was where my parents-in-law lived, and I hung a kimono on the stairs leading to the second floor."
The terrace, receiving sunlight from LA, included a swimming pool. Choi Yeon-je, who was active as a singer in the 1990s, is currently running an oriental medicine clinic in the U.S. He performed acupuncture for his mother on the sunny terrace.
Sunwoo Yong-yeo moved to meet her son's family with her daughter's family. Passing through downtown LA, Sunwoo Yong-yeo appeared excited. She said, "There's my son-in-law's office in downtown LA. There's also an office in Pasadena. There are two offices, so he goes here and there," proudly talking about her son-in-law. Seeing her mother like this, Choi Yeon-je suggested that she take a break.
Choi Yeon-je then explained her feelings as a daughter who has no choice but to support her mother, who returned to broadcasting after immigrating to the U.S., saying, "Mom got to do 'History Flows,' but the team came to recruit her hoping she would do the mom role. I supported that, but she said she felt hurt. In fact, if mom was happy doing this in the U.S., I would want to be with her, but she's an actress, and it was clear she missed it." This was because Sunwoo Yong-yeo had mentioned that she felt regretful through YouTube.
Choi Yeon-je said, "So, I thought, 'What can I do to be with mom?' That's why I became a singer," choosing her own way to be with her mother.
When the family gathered, Sunwoo Yong-yeo mentioned that today was her daughter-in-law's birthday. She presented a gift, saying, "This is a snake skin bag. Snakes bring luck. They invite fortune," and her daughter-in-law Soo-jin shyly held up the bag.
Sunwoo Yong-yeo, watching her grandchildren chatting in English among themselves, said, "When my son and daughter have families, they take care of each other. I just have to accept that and cut off any feelings of regret. You all live hard. Just have fun and live well," as she smiled calmly. She then recalled, "It was so nice when just the four of us came. It was really good to eat kimchi stew on newspaper, without any luggage coming. Just the family eating. So even more than a lavish feast, it was more precious to have family together," smiling nostalgically as she thought back to when she first immigrated to the U.S.
