Actor Kim Seong-o shared his thoughts on finishing 'Low Life.'
On the 13th, the final episode of the Disney+ original series 'Low Life' was released, and Kim Seong-o, who played the role of Lim Jeon-chul, maintained an overwhelming performance that heightened viewers' immersion until the very end.
In this regard, Kim Seong-o said, "I have many memories of filming in Sinan and Mokpo in the hot weather. It was difficult and tiring, but it was a precious memory filled with joy that returned to me through the love of the viewers," adding, "I want to thank everyone who enjoyed 'Low Life.' I think it was really a good decision to be transferred to Sinan."
'Low Life' is a story about hardworking and diligent local people who deceive each other to claim a sunken treasure ship buried in the sea in 1977. In the early part of the drama, Kim Seong-o appears as a driver for Yang Jeong-suk (played by Im Soo-jung), showcasing a sturdy yet affectionate loyalty in front of her. In front of Oh Hee-dong (played by Yang Se-jong), he reveals a rough but gradually more human side of Lim Jeon-chul, completing a well-rounded character narrative.
The viewers could immerse themselves even deeper into the character of Lim Jeon-chul thanks to Kim Seong-o's delicate handling of the emotional lines that swing between extremes, which also enhanced the overall quality of the work.
In particular, Kim Seong-o, who has supported the drama with overwhelming performances in every episode, captivated viewers in a scene during the 8th episode where Lim Jeon-chul struggles to survive in the sea, showcasing realistic movements and expressions. The image of Lim Jeon-chul, who always seemed strong, succumbing to anxiety and desperation was enough to touch the viewers' emotions, and Kim Seong-o vividly expressed the life-and-death crisis faced by the character, evoking shock and pity.
Through 'Low Life,' Kim Seong-o once again proved his irreplaceable acting ability. It remains to be seen what new aspects and works he will present to the public in the future.
