"Hidden Money" is a comic action film that follows the adventures of MZ friends who get caught up in a plot by villains aiming for 15 billion won in crime revenue, as they strive to protect friendships more valuable than money amid betrayals and threats, ultimately delivering an exhilarating twist. The film heightened the excitement at the finale of the '3rd Dadaepo Sunset Film Festival' held in Busan.
At the red carpet event held against the backdrop of the Dadaepo sunset, director Kim Sol-mae and lead actors Jo Byeong-kyu, Sun Woo-seon, and Lee Tae-ri appeared together, prompting cheers from the audience and a flurry of flashes from the press. The festival organizers noted, "Hidden Money is one of the most anticipated films of the second half of this year, making the final moments of the festival even more special," adding that "the cheerful energy and teamwork matched the festival atmosphere well."
During a media briefing held after the event, Jo Byeong-kyu discussed his role as 'Kim Ji-hoon,' saying, "I was drawn to the character because he is ordinary yet realistic," and noted, "I pondered a lot to express this natural charm." He added, "Since the character is human without a clear division between good and evil, I believe the audience will find it easier to empathize with him." In the film, Kim Ji-hoon is a self-made young man who postpones returning to school after his military service and drives a one-ton truck known as 'Bongorigi,' embodying a rough but loyal everyman style.
"Hidden Money" depicts the adventures and twists that occur as friends of the MZ generation get entangled in a plot by villains targeting 15 billion won in crime revenue.
