Actress Song Seon-mi (50) shared her current situation raising her daughter alone after her husband's death.
In the episode of TV Chosun's 'Perfect Life' aired on the 13th, Song Seon-mi talked about her life raising a child alone, stating, "I don't really find it difficult just because I'm raising her alone. It's all about perspective." She added, "When the child was young, it was physically exhausting to play with her, but during those times, I sometimes asked my manager's younger sibling for help."
She continued, "I believe showing the child that a mother loves herself and lives independently will be a source of strength for her," and noted, "I haven't lived as a victim just because I'm a single mom."
Song Seon-mi married art director Ko Woo-seok in 2006 and gave birth to her daughter in 2014, but her husband passed away in 2017 due to a hired murder case involving a relative. The court sentenced her cousin, Mr. Kwak, to life in prison for instigating the murder and ordered Song Seon-mi to be awarded 1.31 billion won in damages.
Currently, Song Seon-mi is living with her daughter and continues her acting career.
