Lee Soo-yeon of the trot family Total Set had a special summer vacation.
Lee Soo-yeon appeared in the KBS2 program 'The Return of Superman' broadcast on the 13th. That day, as siblings Hwang Min-woo and Hwang Min-ho were to spend a special day for summer vacation, Lee Soo-yeon, along with her peer actress Oh Ji-yul as a guest, said, "I was so excited thinking about meeting my close friend Ji-yul and brother Min-ho that I couldn't sleep well the night before. I saw brother Min-ho often, but I was meeting Ji-yul after a long time," showcasing her friendship.
On that day's broadcast, the four participated in the experiential program 'Korea Memorial Road' hosted by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation. Among them, they embarked on the 'A Night of Stars Following Yoon Dong-ju' stamp tour, retracing the footsteps of Yoon Dong-ju's life.
Having basic knowledge about poet Yoon Dong-ju through school lessons, they visited the site of Yoon Dong-ju's boarding house located in Seochon as their first course. Hearing explanations about Yoon Dong-ju's school days during which he wrote independent poems, Lee Soo-yeon amazed everyone by reciting a part of 'A Night of Stars.'
The children also visited the Yoon Dong-ju Literary Museum, which houses works filled with the poet's life and historical anguish, and became more engaged as they listened to explanations about one of his representative poems, 'Self-Portrait.' They climbed Inwangsan, which Yoon Dong-ju often visited, and saw the monument of his preface, reminding them that this year marks both the 80th anniversary of Liberation and the 80th anniversary of the poet's passing.
Following the footsteps of Yoon Dong-ju's life, the four delivered an experience where they could not only have fun but also learn history firsthand and feel it in their bodies. Lee Soo-yeon concluded the tour by expressing, "As descendants, I must always have a grateful heart towards the independence activists who devoted themselves to protecting our country."
